Labelling your blog
I know it feels very early to be saying this, but I want you to start thinking/producing labels for your blog posts now.
This way, it's a lot easier for me to see the 'holes' in your blog that may need filling as we're going along, rather than a big mad rush some time in Feb and us missing something.
Megan's labels by the end of her blog to give you an idea (but obviously yours don't have to be identical to these):

Storyboarding
This was Megan Southern's post from 1st October last year:
It's interesting in that she's outlined just how important storyboarding is before any filming takes place.. and I also think some of your made the same mistake as she did in for your AS, you just went out one day and filmed - in fact some of you actually have that as your plan A!
Not good.
Here's what they ended up with before they shot a single frame:
So with this in mind, you can see why I get so angsty when I give you the group time in class but some of you just waste it by having a chat or blogging.
Consequently, you now have a group Storyboard deadline, by which time, you'll present your storyboards to the class and I'll film it for your blogs.

Friday 25th October - day we break up for half term.
Video of the Week...
This one is an A2 student's from Wyke Sixth Form from last year:
If you watch it on YouTube and read the comments, he says he shot the whole thing on an SLR camera using a high shutter speed - so the frames stayed clear and crisp when slowed right down.
Love the use of the fish-eye lens too.
Oh, and he also advised "Start early and plan. Be prepared to re-shoot and re-edit."

Equipment Log
Please see the updated equipment chart below - what no. charger do you all have? Whoever has it from each group, please comment and let me know before next lesson.
Also, Sophie/Seher, Khadeja, Eleanor and Sara - please tell me what to fill in your blanks (leave me a comment) - between the five of you, I've lost track of your stuff and before we go any further, we must complete this audit!!
